After three back to back travelogues - for a change experience real "globe". Following is the expectation from colleagues when he turns 50.
"Many Happy Returns of the Day, Mr. X. It’s your 50th, so I must, or rather, I would like to say something about you. I have been working with you for the last decade or so, and I must confess that you are one of the best colleagues I have ever worked with. It’s really exciting; the
feel good factor comes in to work with the kind of person you are. I have always had a lot to know about life from you, be it in the professional front, or maybe some in the personal front also. Believe me, you are a great inspiration. In the professional front, you have been a great leader and motivator. Your qualities of silent authority, assertiveness, persuasion and managing impressions are really the ones one should learn from, to be an inspirational leader. Out of these, the most striking one is your ability to convince people by using emotional appeals as well as factual evidence and logical arguments; I have also been subject to this many times (laughing). All these drive the leadership competencies which you show in each and every aspect of your life, be it emotional intelligence, integrity, drive, self confidence, business intelligence and many more. Is spite to being very directive in your professional life, you have also managed to be very supportive; you are one of the most friendly and approachable leaders in our organization, you seem to understand each and every aspect of your subordinates’ lives, their personal lives are not invaluable to you. You have also been very transformational in your leadership style successfully energizing and directing people to new sets of corporate values and behaviors. All in all, great to have you in our organization and I consider myself lucky to have worked with you for the past so many years. Once again, Happy Birthday to You, Dear Mr. X; be as you are and enjoy life to the fullest. Cheers!"
